Original Nav desk.
Large desk with plenty of storage, however teak is dull and dry. There was a book shelf above the desk.
This is the completed nav desk. A/C unit was installed under the desk. Bulkhead has new TV with dvd player, reading light, Thermostat and clock/barometer. There is a power strip to plug laptops, VHF charger. etc.
I found a company that had the trim I was looking for in marquetry. I purchased 2 wind roses and trim for a border. Contact glue and lots of patience and Voila'.
Layout ready to be glued. Used a good contact glue, then covered the desk with plastic and 1/2" plywood. I set on top 2 pallets of flooring, about 1500# worth for 2 days. Yes it came out flat. 3 coats of clear to seal everything. Now it is ready for the bar top epoxy.

I installed 4 footman loops on the bulkhead above and below the TV/Monitor. I can strap the TV to the bulkhead while under way. It has a tilt/swing bracket. I am afraid it may start moving on it's own on rough seas.
